A.R.T.- Active Release Treatment
Dr. Anders will provide specific soft tissue protocols using the Active Release diagnostic algorithm. Active Release Treatment is based on hundreds of protocols to treat all areas of the body. All muscles have an origin and insertion and A.R.T. allows Dr. Anders a way to create a third point in the tissue which allows him to stretch the tissue beyond joint motion without affecting the integrity of the joint. During the treatment process, he will be able to tell whether the injury is in a chronic or acute state, and whether or not there is nerve involvement. Some common injuries/issues that are treated in the clinic include; plantar fascitis, shin splints, toe injuries, knee injuries, quad contusions, tight hip flexors, spinal immobility, trigger points, adhesive capsulitis "frozen shoulder", "tennis elbow", "golfers elbow", carpal tunnel issues, grip injuries, post surgical treatments, tension headaches, TMJ issues, and the most common "overuse issues".
